Carlow town to double e-bike provision

Carlow town’s set to increase its e-bike provision.

Following on from the roll-out in Kilkenny city, Bolt set up in Carlow last September with 50 bikes available at a number of locations.

The offering’s proven so successful however, that in recent times it was hard to find one of the bikes to use.

At last month’s Carlow town municipal district meeting, Cllr Fintan Phelan asked about the chance of expanding the service and at this one’s, last evening, he had a positive update.

He’s told KCLR News that in the coming months there will be 100 of the e-bikes available with an expansion too of the number of bases you can avail of one from – hear that here;
