There’s a call for a the ceasefire in Lebanon to be respected according to the Carlow woman who heads up Action Aid Ireland.
The international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty is condemning Israel’s strike on a target in the south of the region.
It claimed it detected terrorist activity at a facility belonging to Hezbollah.
AAI CEO Karol Balfe says; “This is deeply concerning after a ceasefire has been agreed and what the people of Lebanon really need is a permanent ceasefire, as do the people in Gaza, so we need to see accountability for this, you know, there should be no sales of arms to Israel because they are continuing to attack civilians and this is so shocking after a ceasefire has been agreed”.
