Carlow’s Éamonn Tracey looking to make it eight in a row as countdown to Ploughing Championships is on

18 local farmers are getting set to plough their furrows in Screggan this month.

There are just under two weeks left until this year’s National Ploughing Championships begin at the Tullamore site.

While Kilkenny will have 13 representatives in the fields, the famed Tracey family from Garryhill will be making up three of the just five Carlow hopefuls.

And speaking to KCLR News, Éamonn Tracey – who’s looking for his 8th national title in a row, says it’s great to be competing with both his father and his son.
