Carlow's the Favourite to host next year's Ploughing Championships

There’s a lot of talk that Carlow could be in line to host next year’s Ploughing Championships.

The crowds have been big again up the road in Ratheniska for the last day of this years event.

73,000 people attended the final day of the event in Co Laois – bringing the overall total to just under 280,000 – 55,000 more than last year.

However, Managing Director Anna May McHugh’s told KCLR News it definitely won’t be going to a four-day event next year.
