Carlow DJ John Gibbons believes that radio remains “hugely important” for Irish artists.
Speaking on The Home Run on KCLR last evening, the music producer, whose tracks including ‘Lie To Me’ and ‘Edge of Seventeen’ have become familiar to listeners across the globe, believes the medium is still the best indicator of success as the listening demographic remains so wide.
Meanwhile, having spent this summer touring across Europe, Gibbons says “crowds are back” and in some cases have even surpassed pre-Covid levels.
He also revealed he has more music coming soon – including a remix of Picture This’s hugely successful single ‘Satellites’.
