It’s all smiles in Kilkenny from today as the Cat Laughs Comedy Festival gets underway this evening.
Kilkenny will be at the centre of the comedy world for the next 4 days with top Irish and international comedians taking to the stage.
The laughter begins from 7 o’clock this evening in Hotel Kilkenny for the 23rd annual Cat Laughs Festival.
Acts including Dara Ó Briain, Al Porter, Jason Byrne and David O’Doherty will all be taking to the stage as part of the Opening Night Gala.
For tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday there’s a packed programme of events with a line-up including Tommy Tiernan, Deirdre O’Kane, Neil Delamere and The Rubberbandits.
One of the highlights on Sunday will no doubt be the Comedians’ Football Match: Ireland v Rest of the World which takes place from 2 o’clock at the Fairgreen.
It all comes to a close on Monday night with the ‘Goodbye Cats’ show in Langton’s from 9.
