A representative of the local Traveller Community says the conditions on halting site in Kilkenny have improved greatly over the years.
A new report from the Children’s Ombudsman published this week highlighted the conditions at an overcrowded site. (Read that here).

It says there are ‘serious risks’ for the health of the youngest members of the community.
A similar report found very bad conditions at St Catherine’s in the Wetlands seven years ago but Helena Power from the Kilkenny Traveller Community Movement says things have gotten much better.
