Consultant to be appointed design an overpass at the Tower Junction on the Piltown-Fiddown bypass

There’s been another positive step in the efforts to address concerns at a treacherous junction in South Kilkenny.

John McGuinness has confirmed to KCLR news today that Kilkenny county council has been approved to go ahead and appoint a consultant for the design of an overpass at the Tower Junction on the Piltown-Fiddown bypass.

A group of locals have been campaigning tirelessly for this and recently had Minister Shane Ross visit to see the dangerous junction first hand.

Robert Duggan told KCLR news today it seems that visit had the desired impact.
