Councillor Fergal Browne calls on OPW to do something about the Brownshill Dolmen site in Carlow

“It’s embarrassing how badly the OPW are servicing Brownshill Dolmen at the minute”.

That’s according to Carlow Councillor, Fergal Browne who says he’s written to the Minister with responsibility for the Office of Public Works asking that something be done to improve the site.

Brownshill Dolmen is one of the largest in Europe and Councillor Browne says nothing has been done in years to develop it further as a tourist attraction.

Extra land was acquired more than a decade ago to develop facilities for tourists on but there’s been no action taken.
