A fundraising campaign to help a Kilkenny family hit by fire over the weekend has so far generated €40,000.
The Inistioge community’s rallying around local contractor Dermot Prendergast and his son John who recently set up a mechanic business on their farm.
A blaze broke out there on Friday night into Saturday morning – Gardaí and fire crews attended.
No injuries were reported, however there was loss of and damage to machinery, tools and sheds on the property.
