A fundraiser has been launched to help a County Kilkenny Mother and Daughter after their home was gutted by fire.
The blaze broke out at lunchtime on Sunday at a house in The Rower.
One of the occupants noticed smoke coming from upstairs and got out of the building – she was found in the front yard by family members who ran over after they’d also noticed the smoke.
Dogs at the premises were saved however all of the belongings within it were destroyed.
While the duo is getting huge support from their wider circle of loved ones, a gofundme page has been set up.
You’ll find further information and can donate online here.
Mary O’Keeffe is a niece and cousin of those affected and discussed the situation on The KCLR Daily;
