Cyclist dies in hospital following road crash in Kilkenny
The crash at Newpark Drive on Tuesday involved a truck and a bike
A man has died following a serious crash in Kilkenny yesterday evening.
Gardaí, Fire crews and the ambulance service all rushed to the scene at Newpark Drive shortly after 5.30pm on Tuesday.
A 44 year old cyclist was taken to hospital following the incident which involved a truck and bike.
The man who is believed to be local, was pronounced dead at St Lukes hospital.
The truck driver was uninjured in the incident.
The road at Newpark Drive re-opened last night but Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the incident which happened at around 5.35pm yesterday evening.
