A decision on a major development on the former Mart site in Kilkenny city has been pushed back.
In June the County Council had granted conditional permission to Tesco Ireland Limited for its proposed supermarket with 80 mixed homes and an assisted care facility.
However a third party appealed that in July to An Coimisiún Pleanála which was due to issue its ruling earlier this week.
A spokesperson for the planning authority now confirmed to KCLR News that the case is awaiting the completion of the Inspector’s report and recommendation before being discharged to the Planning Commissions for consideration and decision.
The outcome’s now not expected until late January next year.
