A Fianna Fail councillor is the latest to call for a review of the Central Access Scheme in Kilkenny.
Joe Malone joined protestors on Greensbridge this morning where he asked for works to be halted.
A group opposed to the scheme have been stopping heavy goods vehicles from accessing the site where work has started on the new bridge crossing.
Councillor Malone, who is Deputy Mayor, called on the Acting CEO of the Council John Mullholland to stop the work and go back to the negotiating table.
Speaking on behalf of Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce Donie Butler has told KCLR they remain fully supportive of the local authorities decicion on the Central Access Scheme saying all businesses are behind it going ahead.
