The Disabilities Minister is to visit Ballytobin later this month.
Finian McGrath has given a group of campaigners a commitment to visit the former Camphill community.
The Minister was handed a petition signed by more than 3,400 people this week as campaigners asked him to appeal to HIQA to reconsider its decision to cancel its registration last month.
The Health Information and Quality Authority called a halt to Camphill’s involvement in the community after a damning report followed inspections of the facility there.
The HSE has been in charge for the past month.
