€7million in Active Travel funding coming the way of Carlow and Kilkenny

More than €7million is coming the way of Carlow and Kilkenny under Active Travel funding.

There’s half a million for each county for bus stop enhancement and €563,000 for staffing costs.

More than 30 projects across the two counties will share the spend from the National Transport Authority, including boosting pedestrian and cycling on the Tullow Road in Carlow and connecting Kilkenny city’s Coote’s Lane to the Ring Road (full details below).
