Clare Sands is a hugely talented singer, songwriter and musician, comfortable in both traditional and blues/rock musical forms. She has been very busy this past year with a US tour in Summer 2013 and has recently put out a single “Change Is A Coming”.
She has a special affinity with County Clare, having spent many happy times there playing music and surfing. We hear the song she wrote in praise of her favourite place in Ireland. Her songs are clear and bright and her singing brings them out beautifully.
She has teamed up for an Irish tour with Aisling Urwin, a Kenmare-based harpist/singer/songwriter and they will visit Kilkenny on May 8th for a gig at Cleere’s Theatre.
