Electro Velvet will represent the United Kingdom this year – with a modern swing track called ‘Still In Love With You’.

It’s had mixed reviews.

Ireland’s Molly Sterling performs in the second semi-final this Thursday night with the Irish entry ‘Playing With Numbers’. Watch the video here.

Vision Loss For June Brown

Veteran Eastenders star June Brown is losing her sight.

The actress – who has played Dot Branning on the soap for 30 years – says she won’t give up the role as she’s afraid of ‘being poor’.

Brown is still part of major storylines on Albert Square – with her character the centre of the 30th anniversary celebrations last year.

On The Road With David Brent

We’ve been finding out more about the David Brent movie – which has a confirmed release date of next August.

‘Life on the Road’ is set 12 years after The Office with Ricky Gervais promising the film will ‘delve into the private life’ of the cult character.

Gervais has written and directed the film – as well as writing some new songs for the movie.

Lemon Squeezes Out Second Series

Keith Lemon says he’s ‘chuffed’ that he’s got another series of his sketch show.

The first series regularly pulled in over a million viewers – and he’s told us to expect more of the same.

That means the return of the Big Fat Gypsy Kardashians and Holly Willoughby and the Urban Fox.

New Drama For Queen Victoria?

ITV’s announced what it describes as a ‘major new drama series’ about Queen Victoria.

It’ll follow the life of Britain’s longest reigning monarch, who took the throne at the age of 18.

The show will be produced by the team behind recent hit Poldark – with filming starting in September.

Taylor Swift Shaking Off All The Competition Last Night

Taylor Swift has dominated the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas – winning eight prizes including top artist.

British singer Sam Smith picked up three awards – and thanked fans using hand-written flash cards in a surprise video message, as he’s recovering from throat surgery.

One Direction won top touring artist and top duo or group.

Watch the brand new blockbuster video for Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood here.

Pitch Perfect Debut For Comedy Sequel

The cast of ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ hit all the right notes for the movie’s opening weekend in the US, topping the box office with a US$70.3m debut.

The musical comedy – starring Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson – is a sequel to the 2012 film about an all-girl singing group.

The critically-acclaimed ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ is at number two.

While she’s not committing anything just yet, director and star Elizabeth Banks (remember her in Scrubs years ago?) has come out saying it would be ‘disingenuous’ to say they haven’t spoken about a third installment, but the focus is very much on getting the audience in for the current sequel.

James Bond Thrills On The Thames

James Bond fans have lined the River Thames in London to witness a high speed boat chase for the new film Spectre which is out in November.

Daniel Craig was there last night, but it was his stunt double who saw most of the action.

The sequence also features a low flying helicopter hovering over the MI6 building that backs on to the river.

Get more on these stories, more entertainment and more music than you can shake a stick at on The Frequency Monday to Thursday until 10pm.
