Here’s a look at some of the entertainment stories making the news today with comedian Paddy McGuinness, Kristen Stewart, Big Brother and Batman amongst the afternoon headlines. Get the low down on The Frequency tonight between 7 and 10pm.

Benefit Street Returns To TV Screens

Channel 4’s confirmed another series of controversial documentary Benefits Street will be shown next month.

It’ll be set in Stockton-on-Tees.

The first series – in a suburb of Birmingham – attracted hundreds of complaints, and made a star out of benefit claimant Deirdre Kelly, known as ‘White Dee’.

Paddy McGuinness Heading For The Cobbles

Take Me Out star Paddy McGuinness has signed up for a guest role in Coronation Street.

The dating show host will play a survival enthusiast who meets the Tinker and Dobbs families on a camping holiday.

We can see Paddy – who’s previously appeared in Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights – in six episodes which will be shown in August.

Kristen Stewart on ‘disgustingly sexist’ Hollywood

Kristen Stewart claims women have to work harder in Hollywood because she says the industry is “disgustingly sexist”.

The Twilight star also told Harper’s Bazaar magazine she doesn’t enjoy fame – saying it “is the worst thing in the world.”

The actress plays a personal assistant to a big film star in her new drama – The Clouds Of Sils Maria, opposite Juliette Binoche.

Big Brother Returning To TV with a twist

Big Brother has had a revamp – with the latest series called ‘Timebomb’.

Not much is known about the new features – except that when contestants enter this summer the ‘clock will start ticking’ and the housemates ‘past, present and future’ will be in the hands of Big Brother.

The house has also had a redesign – and now looks like something out of the ‘sleek 1960s, Mad Men style’.

It’s The 90s All Over Again: Blur destined for album chart success

Blur are on course for their 6th UK number one album.

According to the Official Charts Company, ‘The Magic Whip’ has outsold the rest of the top 5 combined.

The record is the band’s first in 12 years – with the Britpop favourites also headlining the Isle of Wight Festival this summer.

Only in London: Spooks needs movie scenes re-filmed

Kit Harington’s revealed he had to keep reshooting his scenes for the new Spooks movie.

The Game Of Thrones star says it’s because his face appeared behind him on so many buses as he filmed scenes for the spy drama in London.

He plays new character Will Holloway in the big screen version of the TV drama.

Big In Japan: Paul McCartney debuts Another Girl after 50 years

Paul McCartney’s treated an audience in Japan to the first ever live performance of The Beatles song ‘Another Girl’ – 50 years after it was recorded.

The song from 1965’s Help! album was never played by the fab four in any of their gigs.

He chose to perform the song to mark the 49th anniversary of The Beatles appearing at the same venue – describing it as ‘sensational and emotional.’

Bruce Wayne bids farewell to Batman

Bruce Wayne is being replaced in the Batman comic books with someone who won’t take on the mantal of the caped crusader.

That’s because DC Comics are ditching the cloak and Wayne’s replacement will wear a manga-style suit of armour instead.

Wayne will end his run in a battle with his archenemy the Joker.

Batman’s not the first character to undergo a big change – a black Spider-Man and female Thor have already appeared.
