Over 2,000 children in Carlow and Kilkenny will gain from the Child Benefit extension to 18 year-olds in full-time education or with a disability
Minister Heather Humphries secured Government approval to extend Child Benefit from May 1st 2024 which support 812 children in Carlow and 1,252 in Kilkenny.
This payment is to help young people who are 18 and in full-time education, or who has a disability, or up until their 19th birthday at a rate of €140 per month
