The appeal comes as Tractor Safety Week gets underway – the use of such vehicles has led to 38 deaths across the country in the last ten years.

Health and Safety Authority Senior Inspector, Ger Hartnett outlines the main dangers; “So the risk with tractors are maintenance, safe operation, blind spots, fatigue when operating the tractors for long periods of time and particularly operating around younger people and older farmers who are vulnerable groups”.
