A Local Fianna Fail deputy has criticised the governments planned cuts to two-teacher schools across the country.
Responding to questions in the Dail, The Minister for Education Ruairi Quinn said that up to 50 schools that currently have two teachers could become one-teacher schools in September, based on enrolment figures so far.
There are currently 8 one teacher schools in the country but 52 two-teacher schools are on course to be downgraded.
