First of Carlow and Kilkenny Junk Kouture finalists to showcase their creations later today

Students in seven local schools are facing into the Junk Kouture regional finals at Dublin’s Helix Theatre.

The first today will feature representatives of Tullow Community School, St Leo’s College Carlow, Abbey Community College in Ferrybank and Castlecomer Community School.

While tomorrow it’s the turn of Presentation de la Salle College Bagenalstown, Presentation Kilkenny and Grennan College Thomastown.

It’s as yesterday’s world final of the contest saw a student at Wilson’s Hospital School in Westmeath beat off stiff competition from 60 rival teams to take the World Designer of the Year award.
