All eyes will be on UPMC Nowlan Park this Sunday as Kilkenny welcome Cork in what could prove to be a pivotal game in their season.
Former Kilkenny hurler Aidan Fogarty believes a win on home soil could be the type of result that kick-starts Kilkenny’s campaign and changes the mood around the county.
Speaking on the KCLR Hurling Podcast, Fogarty said games like this often stand out when teams reflect on their season.
“Sometimes you look back at matches and you go, that was a real turning point.
And I think Cork coming to Nowlan Park — if you can get a result there — that could be a real turning point in a season for a team.It just sends a real kind of belief. This weekend is important to get a good result, but if you beat Cork it could just lift the whole county, lift all the players and give them huge confidence.”
The game will be broadcast live on KCLR this Sunday, with coverage thanks to Laharts Garage — your trusted destination for Volkswagen, Škoda, commercial, and quality approved used cars.
