Four chess boards could be going onto the Parade in Kilkenny city

If you’d like to play a game with knights, queens, kings and bishops in front of Kilkenny Castle, you could be in luck.

The Council is planning on putting outdoor chess tables on the Parade.

Four tables have been suggested for the public space.

Councillor David Kennedy says most public spaces in European cities have gaming areas on them.
