Friends of St Luke’s fundraisers say they’re still waiting for the HSE to put forward rest of money for MRI scanner

Friends of St Luke’s fundraisers say they’re delighted planning has finally been lodged for a building to house a new MRI scanner.

However, they had hoped the project would be further along by now after securing their target of €250,000 to purchase the equipment last November.

Secretary of the charity, Barbara Schofield says the average scanner costs about €700,000 euro.

And she told KCLR News they’re still waiting on the HSE to put forward the rest of the money.
