A number of local heritage projects have been granted funding to help with conservation.
Nationally, 539 projects are to share in a 4.8 million euro fund.
In Carlow Borris House will be getting €10,000 while more than €37,000 is to be split between buildings like Kilnock House in Ballon, Garryhill House in Bagenalstown and Burgage House in Leighlinbridge.
In Kilkenny, the lion’s share is going to Butler House, Mountrothe House in Paulstown, Oak Lodge at Talbots Inch Village and Woodstock Gardens in Inistioge.
The aim of the funding is to support the conservation of our heritage buildings and jobs in that sector.
