Funeral details have been announced for the Kilkenny man who died while hiking on an Italian island.
Dublin based John Bergin, who was originally from Dean Street and Rioch Street in our city, was on holiday with three brothers and a sister last weekend when tragedy struck.
In keeping with John’s wishes, he will be cremated with a private cremation service in Sardinia tomorrow.
His Requiem Mass takes place next Tuesday in St. Canice’s Church in Kilkenny city after which his ashes will be laid to rest with his parents at St. Kieran’s Cemetery. (Full details on RIP.ie)
