The funeral takes place today of the woman whose body was found at a County Waterford residential property last Monday
At about 2o’clock that afternoon, emergency services were called to a home at Ardsallagh, near Youghal Bridge, where they discovered 81-year-old Noreen Daly.
A post mortem examination was carried out while the scene was also forensically examined.
A man was arrested the following morning as part of the investigations and has since appeared before the courts.
Noreen had been very involved in her local community, in particular in traditional music circles as well as the Blackwater Opera Festival, Ardmore Choir, Tai Chi and Clashmore exercise classes.
Her funeral is set to get underway at 11 o’clock this (Sunday) morning at St Lachteen’s Church in Grenagh, county Cork with burial following in the church’s cemetery.
Her death notice on RIP.ie calls for no flowers but donations in lieu to Women’s Aid (More via rip.ie).
