A house on the outskirts of Kilkenny city was ransacked and money was taken during a burglary.
Gardaí are investigating the incident which happened at Hollybank Way, on the Waterford Road last Friday night when three males entered the home at 25 to nine.
Sgt John Duffy is appealing for witnesses and says there’s something in particular that stands out, noting; “What was a little bit different with this one is that they stayed in the house quite a while in that they didn’t leave until nearly 9 o’clock so they were guts of twenty, twenty five minutes in the house going through it”.
He adds “Busy enough area, plenty of traffic going through the area, plenty of people in and out of the estate, if anyone at all was coming thorugh and noticed anything that was different through those times either a little bit before or afterwards, particularly if they were coming in with their car and they have a dashcam and saw people coming in around the place, it would be great if they could contact the detective branch in Kilkenny”.
