Gardai hunt for raiders after doors of Thomastown business rammed

Gardai in Thomastown are hunting for the occupants of a silver people carrier following a burglary last night.

It happened at around 8.50pm at Thomastown Tool hire.

A roller door was rammed by a vehicle with a number of power tools stolen.

Witnesses described a silver people carrier leaving the area at high speed with a number of men on board.

The vehicle had been in the area earlier in the day too – the alarm at that same premises was activated at around 4.30pm in the afternoon.

Gardai are eager to hear from anyone who might have seen that car or its occupants at any stage yesterday.
