Gardaí in Kilkenny seize e-scooter and warn other owners

Kilkenny Roads Policing Unit seized one at a checkpoint after its rider was caught using it on a footpath.

An inspection found it to be a 500w model which is capable of speeds up to 45km/h which exceeds the legal limit (see Road Safety Authority advice here).

In a social media posting the local crew say “If you are using such an e scooter in any public place, stop. NO IFS OR BUTS.”
