Gardaí in north Kilkenny are on the hunt for up to three men who are believed to have been involved in a burglary last evening.
At about 5:20pm they entered a home in the Aughamucky area of Castlecomer through an unlocked back door.
They tied up the man living there, went through the house and stole a large sum of money before leaving on foot.
It’s believed they had a car parked up a short distance away.
A dark-coloured hatchback style car, possibly a three-door, may be connected.
The homeowner managed to free himself and raised the alarm with neighbours.
