Gardaí remind homeowners across Carlow and Kilkenny to lock up when heading out

Gardaí are warning that burglaries don’t just hit on long, dark winter evenings.

It’s after a spate of such incidents in both counties in recent weeks.

Garda Robert Rasmussen has this plea; “We just want to give the public a bit of advice that even though it’s longer daylight we still urge everybody to remain vigilant with their homes, even if they’re leaving for a few minutes; always lock up, always lock up your window and also if you see anyone suspicious in the area or any suspicious vehicles always contact the Gardaí, you’re certainly not wasting our time and we are very much happy to help you”.
