A number of people are due before the courts after a two-day garda campaign in Carlow.
The aim of Operation Hurricane was to arrest and charge those believed responsible for outstanding crimes committed locally.
The initiative also saw 48 people were charged with 8 warrants executed while there were three adult cautions conducted and three youth referrals.
Superintendent Anthony Farrell has praised those within the community who supported their investigations, either by coming forward as a victim or as a witness to a crime, as well as the work carried out by his own team.
And he’s pledged “An Garda Síochána in Carlow will continue to support victims of crime and do everything as an organisation locally to continue to prevent and detect crime from happening.
“Both uniform and plain clothes teams will remain focused on our commitments to the people of Carlow to ensure all people are assured of not only being safe but feeling safe.”
