Gardaí warn dog owners across Carlow and Kilkenny they will face consequences if their pet is involved in attacks on sheep or cattle

Dog owners are being warned to ensure they have control of them at all times in particular around other animals.

Concerns are being raised of the often devastating impact of worrying sheep and cattle, many of which will start birthing their young in the coming weeks.
