It was a weekend of goals in the KCLR McCalmont Cup last 16, with several sides hitting big numbers to book their place in the next round.
Ormonde Villa are through after a 6–3 win over Bridge United B, while Callan United A has a dominant 7–1 victory against St John’s.
There was an even bigger margin of victory for Fort Rangers A, who ran out 8–0 winners over Freshford Town, while Evergreen A also impressed with a 6–0 win against Deen Celtic A.
One of the tighter games saw Bridge United A edge past Evergreen C on a 1–0 scoreline.
Meanwhile, Newpark needed penalties to get past Freebooters B, with the sides level at 1–1 before Newpark came out on top in the shootout.
Earlier in the round, Southend United had already secured their place in the next stage with a 3–2 win over Catslewarren Celtic on Thursday night.
One fixture still remains, with Freebooters A set to face Stoneyford United on the 28th to complete the quarter-final line-up.
As it stands, Southened united, Ormonde Villa, Callan United A, Fort Rangers A, Evergreen A, Bridge United A and Newpark have all safely progressed after a weekend packed with goals.
