There’s more jobs available in Carlow and Kilkenny now compared to last year, according to the latest ERSI survey.
The Irish economy grew by 7.8% in 2015, and is again forecast to grow by a further 4.8% this year.
The latest ERSI quarterly economic survey shows there was a 14 percent increase in job vacancies in Ireland, year-on year.
There was a 50 percent change in the number of job vacancies in Kilkenny between the last quarter of 2015, and the first quarter of this year.
The number in Carlow was also relatively high, at 40%.
Kilkenny is among one of the locations with the highest number of vacancies available, with only Leitrim and Wexford ahead of them.
The survey shows that there’s a strong increase annually in Medical Professionals and Healthcare; HR and Recruitment, trades and general services.
The highest vacancy-to-employment rate was recorded in the capital.
