Health Insurer will increase its insurance premiums from 1st January 2026

Irish Life is increasing health insurance premiums by an average of 5 per cent.

The rise in cost will apply to renewals on or after the 1st of January – its the fourth time in a year.

It’s expected to add between €160 and €255 to a typical family’s plan.

The Health Insurance Authority says it’s been notified of the changes and its Chief Executive Brian Lee is encouraging everyone to review their plan annually.
