Health Minister says 10-year plan needed to fix overcrowding at St Luke’s Hospital

Minister for Health Simon Harris TD said that there’s three crucial ingredients to fixing the problem of overcrowding at St Luke’s Hospital.

This follows the INMO figures for last month which show there was a total of 319 people waiting for a bed in St Luke’s Hospital.

The cumulative figures for January to April are also the highest they’ve ever been at the local hospital.

Minister for Health Simon Harris TD told KCLR News that a ten-year plan is needed to fix the situation, as well as more recruitment, and more beds.
