Heavy rainfall reported in parts of Kilkenny and Carlow with intense downpours, thunderstorms and hail possible too

Extra care’s needed on local roads again this morning.

Unlike yesterday’s fog and sun glare, today’s weather-related warning’s being issued as rainfall’s turned heavy in parts.

And it’s not ending any time soon with more of the same likely into the afternoon with Met Éireann forecasting intense downpours and thunderstorms with hail possible too.

Anybody heading out is advised to be cautious and watch out for spot flooding.
