“He’s like a new child”: mother of Kilkenny boy says his scoliosis surgery was huge success

A Kilkenny mother says her 7-year-old son is “like a new child” since his surgery.
Darragh Cahill was one of the hundreds of children who faced lengthy waiting times for operations to combat scoliosis – which is curvature of the spine.
However, after 15 months on the waiting list, Darragh had his surgery in December of last year.
Now eight months on, his mother, Claire told KCLR News he’s come on leaps and bounds from where he was.
Darragh will need more surgery in the future, and Claire says she hopes they won’t face the same waiting times then.
