‘Home sweet home’ campaign gets underway with Order of Malta fundraiser tonight

The Kilkenny branch of the Order of Malta kick off their ‘Home sweet home’ campaign tonight in Cillin Hill.

They’ve organised a strictly come dancing event, with 20 local dancers taking part, with doors opening at 7pm.

The group are trying to locate a new building for their base, as they’re currently working out of the old auxiliary hospital in Kilkenny.

Ambulances belonging to the crew were damaged last week, as works on the central access scheme continue.

Speaking to KCLR news, Rebecca Murphy from the group says they desperately need a new building.
