Carlow and Kilkenny were among the country’s hottest spots yesterday.
As was predicted Sunday was the warmest day of the year so far with Met Eireann recording 25.7 degrees in the Phoenix Park with Moore Park in Cork seeing the second-highest of 25.2.

24.6 was registered at Oak Park in Carlow.
However, CarlowWeather notched a 26 degree marking at its base while KilkennyWeather noted a high of 25.2.
