The HSE has issued a reminder to all parents of children at a local secondary school to get their children vaccinated.
At least one case of mumps has been confirmed at the Presentation De La Salle in Bagenalstown.
A letter was sent home to parents from the Health Service yesterday advising them that their children may have been exposed.
They’re urging the parent of any child who didn’t receive the MMR Vaccination as a baby and then again in primary school, to go to their GP as soon as possible to get it now.
However, they say that this may still not protect them if they’ve already been exposed.
