Driving business to Carlow and Kilkenny will be high on the agenda for newly appointed IDA south East regional manager brendan McDonald.
Mr McDonald takes over the role from today.
He’s a native of Killeen, Co Laois and will be responsible for driving foreign direct investment to the south east region of Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford and Tipperary under IDA Ireland’s strategy winning 2015 to 2019.
Companies that have announced investment in the south east region in 2017 alone include 60 jobs in Redhat in Waterford, and 140 jobs for Lighthouse Studios in Kilkenny.
