The IMSARC demo is taking place in Dunmore East today

If you want to see some of Ireland’s principal Search and Rescue equipment in action, then Dunmore East is the place to be today.

The event – known as IMSARC Demo – is being co-ordinated by the Coast Guard, but it’ll also feature groups like the South East Mountain Rescue team and the Irish Underwater Council – which the local sub-aqua team are a part of.

Demonstrations such as cliff rescues, marine ambulance exercises, and a parade will all be taking place, with proceedings getting underway from 10:30 this morning.
