Industrial action’s set to begin today for teachers who are members of the Association of Secondary Teachers Ireland (ASTI) and the Irish National Teachers Organisation (INTO).
The move is the latest in a widespread dispute over a failure to agree a new public sector pay deal and will see some not supervise children who arrive to school early or stay late.
Staff and parent/teacher meetings outside of school hours will also not be facilitated by the unionised educators at primary and secondary level.
In addition, there are plans for a 24-hour work stoppage next week (14th October).
