INMO figures show June was another busy month for St Luke’s Hospital

June was another busy month at St Luke’s Hospital.

It comes as the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says the first six months of this year has seen record levels of overcrowding in our hospitals with more than 51,000 left on trolleys between January and June.

St Luke’s wasn’t the worst affected last month but still 255 patients were recorded on trolleys there throughout June.

The INMO says the figures represent further evidence that our health service, simply cannot cope with the demands being placed upon it.
