Interactive street theatre kicks off Thomas MacDonagh Week in Kilkenny

Interactive Street Theatre, lectures on 1916 and free family history sessions are just some of the highlights of Tomás MacDonagh week which gets underway in Kilkenny today.
MacDonagh, who was one of the executed signatories of the proclamation, taught in Kilkenny for a number of years and the local train station was also named for him.
A week of events in his honour begins this evening with street theatre ‘Rise’ on the Parade.
Speaking to KCLR’s The Saturday Show this morning, one of the actors Neil Sheehy says it will be an interactive performance.
